this might sound like a really stupid question, but how do you get the holes like that?

wow, these are really insect like, something about the glossy black and the shape.

Where in the shop, where in the shop? I can't find them!

The enamel leads a wonderful texture to the metal.

hee! i haven't listed them yet... started to but i think i might keep them- they're more of a one of a kind art piece. i'd like to lend them for photo shoots, though.

approx 6g... somewhat heavy.

i hope to get a kiln again soon to make similar pieces to sell, though!

oh, i'll let you know!!
hah! i carved them out with a drill press. probably shouldn't have done it that way, but the press seemed up to it...had to oil it a few times, though!
is that how you do all the netting-looking-holes on all of them?
i JUST started my metals stuff and we learned how to solder last week :P
i have big plans. hehehe.
but i've always loved your work! it's inspirational.

only on this piece- the others are sculpted first in wax and then cast.

enjoy your class! yay, metal!
